Motion Graphics, 3-D Animation, Ratatouille Movie Observations
Written by Siotha on January 19, 2008 – 10:45 pm -Today’s Blog is about 3-D appreciation. After watching some of the show’s from xTrain, I’ve realized wow there’s alot more to 3-D graphics that I had ever appreciated. While watching Pixar’s Ratatouille movie with my daughter and my mother, I even noticed it has some really great textures! There are times when the finite details in the Rat’s fur are so detailed and move so fluidly with the transitions that I almost forget that this is a cartoon rather than a dream. Then, I got to noticing the art direction of the whole color palettes used in the movie, the scheme is so synchronized through the movie, that I forget what shows like Dora or the Mickey Mouse Club house (and their VERY vivid colors) are all in computer graphics. It has taken a little while, but after a year, I’ve finally come to the realization - our 3-D set that movies live with the camera is absolutely genius… It’s like every day that I’ve been in the control room - it’s like watching a major 3-D production live in action…but without the render farms, without the thousands of hours that it takes to produce one minute of a “Pixar” quality film… we do it in mere minutes!
So - here’s my question - for those of you who’ve watched an xTrain show - did you know that our set is Live? As in - none of our backgrounds are done in post production?
Take a look at some of our free classes and give a shout out on your opinion!
