Thanksgiving At the Beach in Mexico

This year we were blessed to have a wonderful thankgiving at the beach. My mom and I started the festivities with a hunt for turkeys, which at one grocery store the meat guy brought us a turkey sliced completely in half frozen turkey (one leg, one wing, sliced down the spine)… after that we found a pocito pavo (small turkey) at Sams club and continued the holiday tradition with Turkey, gravy, green beens, sweet potatoe pie, stuffing and other trimmings. Oh it was heavenly. We invited friends over for dinner and enjoyed a wonderful family meal my mom and little chef Alyssa put together. We didn’t get to enjoy the beach because the winds were howling but we enjoyed a nice walk to the town to see what was going on in the square. In town they were getting ready for a big holiday celebration for Friday where the town enjoyed 40oz beers, free food, fried fish, marquesitas, and many other festival traditions. We enjoyed the community parade, dancing with the live music and the celebration went on through the night! Today we will be going to see the windsurfers in Chixchilube, then getting our christmas decorations from town. This year we’re going to have a seashell decor christmas tree and probably send christmas seashells home to family since we won’t get to see them this year.
