Online Marketing Focus…
Written by Siotha on July 1, 2010 – 6:57 pm -Lately. I’ve been searching, and trying to research online marketing techniques. Has anything interesting come up? Yup. Lots of things. Useful. Not so much. Everyone else is telling that Online Marketing can be done… but no one is actually doing anything anymore. Me. I have 6 key areas of focus when I work.
- Affiliation. Who does the product need to help me sell the product. Yes. WHO? Plenty of people sell, sell, and then sell something else. Information, products, samples, downloads, freebies, samples, content. So. I look for recognized leaders and pitch an affiliation to them.
- Competition. Spying on the competition is one thing. Dominating them is another. We’ll go into details later. But basically, there’s a few little secrets out there – that once mastered – makes your enemy beg for mercy.
- Positioning of content. Content is what makes your website get found. Vague, unhelpful, crapola doesnt. Stop the sales pitch crap. Give your reader, searcher, potential client, client, customer – something they want… everyone wants something for free. Hint: Training is a GREAT freebie.
- Quality. Don’t bother with crappy products. Unless you’re telling the world not to bother with a product. It sucks that Wal-mart has great things, but their sales are in volume. Volume is often equated with – how long will the product last in a household before they must consume more. I wish I could say this was a flawed marketing teqnique, but somehow they’ve turned us all into repeat buyers simply by only offering high turn over products. Since I’m not in the market to compete with Wal-mart, Target, Amazon, etc… I’m going to stick to quality products.
- Customer Service. Get ready to laugh. If the stupid question can be asked, it will. But don’t take it lightly. If that question is asked over and over, address it through marketing or training.
- YouTUBE. Give it up. Nothing else is going to work better than something on YouTUBE. People consume more than 6 videos a day on youtube voluntarily. Including – your advertising.
Make it work, make it quality. Oh, and do it frequently. Or Google thinks your company died.

Playboy Evolutions Photoshop: Video on youtube
Written by Siotha on October 1, 2007 – 1:50 pm -Ok. well. Nice headline right? For me, it’s got 2 of the big keywords. Playboy & Photoshop. And that’s what makes it a nice headline. Playing off of everyone’s dream model retouching…

Now for any of you who know anyone that works in a beautiful photoshoping job where you have the burden of touching up almost nude models day in and day out… I wanna hear from you! What’s your Boring day like? Cus quiet frankly – myself and plenty of other people would happily enjoy that job!
In the mean time – I suggest we all check out this vid on youtube.

Online PR… The good, the bad… and Did I miss the point?
Written by Siotha on September 22, 2007 – 5:00 pm -Let’s talk PR.
I’m very thankful for the PR’s and the buzz about our company and our spokeswoman, but I went to an article today about iJustine and found that the article was not about the headline. I felt disappointed and yet confused.
I read the headline here, wich says “Personal safety a problem in ‘lifecasting’ – iJustine interview” – TGdaily.com Then I thought – oh my there must be something I hadn’t heard about. Is Justine ok? Has she had any problems? Oh my – I want details – she’s spilling it to a reporter and I’m so nosey I want to know now.
I read the article. And felt like one qoute and an article about being a lifecaster for 3 months was not the “scoop” the headline promised.
So here is my Online Marketing Rant, Rave and PR/Journalism spill…
Make your headlines interesting and realistic! I can think of about four more headlines that would have been just as eye catching, while allowing the reader to walk away… feeling…. informed.. satisfied after reading about 2 paragraphs of the actual article.
This is online publishing: put the real info in the first paragraph not some fluff. Or you will lose your reader in 2.2 seconds. As we only have 4 seconds for an online user to actually absorb a page in this online world.
